How FAST Should You Lose Weight?
Without a deadline, the same goal can take five months or fifty years. Joey's method is to find a healthy weight from a BMI calculator, set the honest timeline at about a pound a week, then cut it to a quarter.
Fifty pounds becomes three months. The math is 50 times 3,500 calories, so 175,000 total, about 1,950 a day. Burn 1,000 more, eat 1,000 less, and the spread is covered.
It is not meant to last. Run the sprint while your motivation is highest, then halve the deficit. Falling short at 25 pounds still beats another year of half pound weeks.
What You'll Learn
- Set the honest timeline, then cut it to a quarter.
- One pound of fat is about 3,500 calories.
